At the meeting of the Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology Society of the Valencian Community (SOTOCAV), held in Castellón on May 18 and 19, Gonzalo Mariscal presented his work «Incidence and risk factors for complex regional pain syndrome in radius fractures: meta-analysis».
This work is the first meta-analysis on the subject and shows the true incidence of complex regional pain syndrome, as well as the risk factors that genuinely increase [the risk of] this syndrome. The information obtained from this study is very valuable for decision-making, resource allocation, and providing higher-evidence information to the patient.
Additionally, we are pleased to inform you that the work presented by Gonzalo Mariscal at SOTOCAV, «Incidence and risk factors for complex regional pain syndrome in radius fractures: meta-analysis,» has been published in the prestigious journal «Archives of Orthopedic and Trauma Surgery.» This is a highly prominent publication in the field of orthopedics and traumatology, and it is very difficult for research to be accepted for publication in this journal.
