The origin of our method
The OMEDICS approach It is born from a real experience and a different way of understanding scientific research.
During his years as a medical student, Dr. Gonzalo Mariscal He wondered how he could begin to generate knowledge and contribute scientific value from the early stages of his career. He found in the meta-analysis an accessible, rigorous, and highly useful methodology, which allowed her to research, publish, and advance professionally without relying exclusively on traditional academic structures.
That experience gave rise to our own proprietary methodology: practical, demanding, and results-oriented. Today, at OMEDICS, we apply that very same method to help healthcare professionals and research groups turn your ideas into solid scientific projects y impact publications.

At OMEDICS, we apply validated methodologies and internationally recognized tools to ensure the quality, robustness, and transparency of every study.
Main resources and tools we use:
PICOST
It is a search strategy that helps us look for a diagnosis by defining procedures and operations to obtain the necessary information and be able to fulfill a specific information need.
PRISMA
The PRISMA statement (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses), it was designed to help authors of systematic reviews transparently document the reason for the review, what the authors did and what they found.
Cochrane
Many Cochrane reviews measure harms and benefits by collecting data from more than one trial and combining them to generate an average result. The objectives are to provide a more precise estimate of an intervention y reduce uncertainty.
RevMan
RevMan it is the software developed by Cochrane to prepare systematic reviews. It integrates with other specialized tools and is periodically updated with new features and improvements.
Stata
It is statistical software that allows analyzing and managing large volumes of data, as well as representing the results through clear charts and visualizations.
ROBINS-I
It is a specialized tool that we use in Cochrane reviews to evaluate non-randomized studies of interventions. It allows for a structured analysis of methodological quality.
MINORS
It is a tool we use to assess the quality of non-randomized studies of surgeries, whether comparative or non-comparative studies.
Newcastle-Ottawa
This feature allows you to evaluate methodological quality of non-randomized studies included in a meta-analysis, identifying potential biases and assessing the strength of the available evidence.
GRADE
It is a methodology for transparency, consistency, and rigor in test evaluation allowing to assign levels of evidence (high, moderate, low or very low).
